Furniture Restoration & French Polishing
Spencer also restored antique furniture for Phelps Limited of Twickenham, London, up until 2003 when the Phelps brothers retired. Spencer moved to Pembs in 1988 and bought The Old Saddlery where he set up his own restoration business.
French polishing is his speciality, achieving a superb finish. He takes great pride in all aspects of work undertaken and nothing goes out of the workshop unless it is of showroom condition, whilst not being over-restored. All manner of
restoration is undertaken, including insurance work. |
Spencer
has been restoring furniture all of his working life, learning
his trade from his father and grandfather. Many of the tools
that he uses now, originally belonged to his grandfather.
Over
the years he has gained a outstanding reputation amongst trade and
private customers alike for his unique and expert talent. All pieces
of work are sympathetically restored and every piece is always finished
to the highest standard.
